Wright-Phillips talk intensifies

Liverpool boss Gerard Houllier is busy drawing up his summer shopping list with reports claiming that Shaun Wright-Phillips is his top target.

The exciting 22-year-old, who has a host of admirers including England coach Sven Goran Eriksson, could well be available if the money is right and especially if City are relegated.

However Houllier would have to trim down his squad to take on a player valued at around �5m and that would also depend on the Reds qualifying for the Champions League next term.

Wright-Phillips, who was recently nominated for PFA Young Player of the Year, could be another exciting addition to the Liverpool squad along with the nailed down transfer of Auxerre's Djibril Cisse.
