Its rubbish, apparently its from the s*n (scum).
Gerrard won't be leaving this season for sure, even if were crap next season as well I don't think he'd leave that soon. He has recently (<2 months) said he'd like to play for Liverpool for the rest of his life as the team means so much to him.
He also very confidently said he would never even dream of playing for man u or Everton in a recent interview on the official site.
i cant see it myself but i think its fair to say that nothing suprises us in footy these days and the phrase never say never is a way of life in the game
He'd get to play for a team that will consistantly challenge for the highest honours and not have to up sticks and relocate.
Suits all parties if he joins United I think.
Just like you getting Judas Barmby and Abel Xavier?! Think its fair to say things didn't quite work out for them 2Originally Posted by baronvon

He will NOT be leaving this Summer though and the thought of him going to manu is a complete joke. If he does move I can't see it being to a PL club, it'll be Spain most likely- but Im hoping it'll never happen.
who knows?, I seem to remember people saying owen would be there for life but he has said he`s off if they dont get into europe soon, Mcmanaman was Liverpool through and through, look what he did, Beckham would never leave Man.U, Campbell was Spurs through to the core. the thing is nothing is certain in football, and top-class players will always want to play for the best teams of the day
i think it unlikely but no way is it impossible. If he were off anywhere, i'd guess barcelona

The Gerrard thing was brought up strategically to take the eyes off of united selling RVN to Real Madrid.
I read somewhere that a 'Big Dutch International' had contacted beckhams agents to find him property in madrid? obviously this doesnt mean it will be RvN - but I just reckon tha Fergi raised press speculation surrounding united in for Gerrard to take the light away from rVn moving away.
Makes sense in a lot of ways - nothing would be more controversial in football then the Pool captain moving to Uniturd.

Webby - I think United letting Ruud go would be controversial !!! with us fans anyway
so was beckham but that did not make any difference
erm yes it cost you the titleOriginally Posted by MajorFU

and selling beckham is not what cost us the title imo as @ 1/2 time we were top
losing rio and not having a 100% fit replacement is what cost us the title
Selling Beckham did not cost United the title - that tw@t Keynon messing up the Ronaldihno transfer did.
If you look at how those two are performing in La Liga, you'll see what I mean.
Who would you replace the Van Man with though? Can't think of any so why let him go? TBH I just think it's that time of the year when the league is decided and certain papers need to "report" on other things to shift copies.
just a thought snotty, while you are taking peoples quotes out of context, did u ever stop to think who united will sign if ruud goes
I can tell you that rooney will be top of the list with around £20-£25m on the table can u see everton saying no
i would be more worried about my own team if i were u m8
Personally i think that owen a gerrard are quality plyers in a poor team by Liverpools standards. I can see them moving on. gerrard to United and Owen abroad. THEN Alan Smith to United also.......... :thumbs
ooops!
