Runs like stink when cold plus clicking noise on and off with same light

engine fault... i'd guess that it's either the lamda sensor or the thermostat/heat adjustment module as you said its only running badly when cold, count the flashes (there will be a pause then the same number of flashes again) print them on here and I'll look up the fault code at the weekend for you.
