    Default Need to lose weight!

    Hi Guys (and gals),

I've decided I'm a a bit of a bloater and need to lose some weight I'm 6'1" and weight just over 16 stone! I'd like to get down to 14 or 14.5 stone at least so need some help. Anyone got the weight watchers points details they could email me or any supplements worth taking?

    Cheers

simply drop 500 calories from your daily diet for a while and see how that goes, no stupidity though like dropping breakfast

ive found best way to burn off the calories is to take Kelp tablets after every meal (they're natural, but get the metabolism going) as well as much walking/light jogging as possible

results wont be instant that way but it stays off

Just watch your calorie and fat intake. So far by doing this and cutting all the crap out I,ve lost nearly a stone in 12 weeks. No exercise done in the first 9 weeks so goes to show what can be done.

Calorie intake for a man per day is 2500 calories so just reduce that and the fat intake for a man is 90 grams per day just reduce those and you should see a big improvement.

If you do start going to the gym expect to put a bit of weight back on as muscle is heavier than fat.

Just be careful not to overdo it tho.

this is no joke now eat speciak K cornflakes once a day to substitute a meal .

use a sugar substutute powder if you like them sweet .

I lost 14 kilos in just over 4 months that way and Ive managed to hold it off.

Ofcourse theres no point just starting to starve yourself if your not prepared to exercise your lardy arse as well.

Kelp tablets from Holland & Barrett.
It's a natural seaweed extract but a lot of people recommend it as it helps your metabolism work as it should so your body burns off the energy it needs and not storing it as fat.

The one I'd recommend comes in little capsules that also contain cider vinegar and lecithin (also helps ur body with its metabolism and the emulsification of fat), but there are quite a few you can buy in Holland & Barrett (or anywhere similar i'd imagine). The ones I used before which really helped contain these...so if you look out for anything in Holland & Barrett that contain these they should help a lot:

Kelp - a natural food rich in essential Iodine, necessary to maintain a healthy thyroid for essential of metabolic functions.

Soya Lecithin - an excellent natural source of Choline and Inositol, agents that disperse fat globules in the body to help maintain a low cholesterol level.

Vitamin B-6 - functions as a coenzyme, involved in protein and fat metabolism.

Cider Vinegar - a naturally-rich source of potassium and other essential minerals.

They ain't miracle tablets or anything but they helped me a lot when I was needing to lose a few tires after too much being a gannit at chrimbo stuffing me face with pudding and beer

Ephadrine, Caffine and Aprin do the trick, take 2 -3 times a day, speeds up your metabolism and heats up your body making you burn more fat/calories.

Works well with a good excersize routine.

OK i'm not overweight but I have a wee chubby tummy..I'm 6,2 and 11 stone...only thing is my stomach is a lil big (not v. big) and I wanna reduce it a bit. What would be the best way to reduce the fat from around that area?

Here is my own made up routine:

Cereal in the morning (been having sugar puffs - nasty)
waiting till lunch and having something snacky ( i need suggestions on what to eat at this time)
dinner is a no hoper, usually have something fatty...

I've also given up the fags, drinking juice and eating sweets...what other things should I do? was really hoping to get this done quick.

What is the best exercise to build muscles in your stomach? sit ups or touching your toes?

    Any info would be appreciated.

    Tam.
If you guys could fill in the gap to some quick fixes that would be much appreciated

Here is a link m8 to kind of give you an idea what your weight should be..
Remember this is only a guide and peoples body structures come in all shapes n sizes!
The BMI (body mass index) is a little out-dated as they dont take into consideration
peoples size and build for instance..you can failry tell yourself if you are overweight
or not and work on it from there..

    http://www.thecolumn.org/ideal-weight-chart.asp
theres also some nutritional info on there too..

Info Re: Need to lose weight!

This is for tam9. To be quite honest the only way you are going to lose fat from round your stomach is if you do some cardiovascular work in the form of running or cycling. You just need to lose this weight. One problem that people have is that they believe if they do lots of sit ups then they will tone up there stomach but the problem is they are just making more muscle underneath the fat which just makes it look like they are even fatter!

is this why a beer belly looks worse when you've been working out on it then? I found that nearly no exercise i've done will seem to give me a flatter stomach...it's natural postion is out like a fatty, but i'm not even that fat anymore it feels like the muscle goes outwards too. Maybe it's something that will go away in time but at the moment the only way I can get a flat stomach is to hold it in . I've been doing exercies to try to get rid of it for well over a year. I do stretches, situps, squats, press ups & other random little moves...

maybe it's time I run a few times a week...would this be more productive that what I do at the moment, or should I do both?

    sorry for all the questions!
