hi all

did the no mod update on a c&w 1000 box so it stayed cr2. Made a fun card, i'm getting all the channels except ppv. Is there any way I can get ppv, i'm in a telewest area.

it is set to 0000, but when you choose a ppv it says pin not initialised

Thanks for that, it seems to have worked. But the problem i'm getting now is that after about 5 minutes the screen freezes and I have to turn the box off/on. When the box is left on channel 400 it doesn't freeze.

Sounds like it could be a poor signal. Try removing any attentuators or plug in direct from wall inlet socket without any splitters in line.

the box has ntl cr2 software but I am in a telewest area. i have used the box somewhere else and its still the same

I think it's the software(nlt cr2) cause of the problem. I was informed that ntl cr2 is a factory type default

as i have done the no mod update I can't update the software. am i totally buggered. what if i stuck a tw cr3 sim would it update and then could i stick the old sim back in.

it's possible to clone the sw from another box - means taking chips out tho

if you update to cr3 you wont get ppv on funcard youll need a mosc,you can swop the sim from another 1k and it should update,however ntl cr2 should work nps in a tw area.
if you add a new sim youll lose cr2.sounds more like a signal prob.
