nero 6

Hi all, need a little help on nero, i had v6 on my pc and recently bought a dvd-rw which came with nero 5! v6 didnt want to burn using my dvd-rw, i got the message 'Drive is in use by another application' so i uninstalled v6 and installed v5 which works fine but cant use cd cover design!, ive done a search and deleted all to do with nero then installed v6 again but still get the same prob 'Drive is in use by another application' basicaly v6 works if i want to use cover design and v5 works for burning. :annoyed:

Are you using XP?

If so, disable the IMAPI CD BURNING COM service.

IMAPI = Image Mastering Applications Programming Interface

Basically it is Win XP's own built in packet writing software that allows you to treat a CD-R/RW just like a big floppy disk by simply dragging & dropping the data to the drive.

My guess is that your conflict stemmed from the fact that when you installed nero 6, you also installed Nero's version of packet writing software called InCD.
