GRAN TURISMO 4 (prologue)

Got this at the weekend.

Graphics are lovely on it, really lovely !!!

You only get 5 courses of which only 3 can have oposition.

There is the school mode which is very similar to the license requirements in the last game (EG learning corners, braking etc)

There are 25 (I think) lessons in this and then once completed................. I`ll let you find this out for yourself.

Overall 6/10 (only due to the limitations in the depth of game)

total of 50 cars once everythings completed.

For a fiver from the market I`ll take it but I wouldnt spend £20 on it

Got prologue on the weekend. Got to say that it does look gorgeous. Also like the 10 second penalty if you drive into the back of a car. Bit dissapointed with the races being only 2 laps. Cant wait for the full version.

Baronvon can you unclock more cars in prologue? Your not just stuck with the cars that you are given?

Ive done the school mode only because I`m hoping the save game counts for the final version. So once its out you can get straight into the "meat" of the Gran Turismo mode.

I was hoping for a different menu style, but no.....in fact most of the presentation is still the same as before ...abit dissapointing really.....some things just never change !!!


Still, a massive high point for ps2 owners to look forward too !!!

gt4 will have a different interface, and a different HUD from prologue, also better crowds.

You get a car for every small test you pass (any success) and you get a car for every set of golds (eg, all green gold)

For GT4 Prologue, the UK release is this friday. For GT4 the full thing, I think sometime in November?

Its been out in alternative means for some days now, you can get the prologue pal (not signed one) in .se and in pl. ultima.pl ships to the UK I think. I ordered from play.com, 18 quid with shipping. And btw you have 64 cars once everything I compleated I think.

Yea they are anouncing a new car each day on the list

They have also got an estimated track list, Sony say that all the tracks in the previous gt's will be on GT4 and more!

wish you could cheat though - on Jap version of prologue - I got stuck on the lesson where you have to get the S2000 (I think) round New York and passed opposition vehicle in less than 3 laps........ now I am stuck in exactly the same place on UK game its doing me nut in

The graphics are amaing, especially like the Grand canyon where spectators are in the road and they swiftly move when you are coming at them!
