Default acessing blocked sites at work

Hotmail.com is blocked at work - WEBsweeper warning screen comes up.

Likewise, I can't access The Sun, Ebay or any page where someone uses the word t\/\/at

If I install a different browser will it work?

tbh mate, i really wouldn't bother

they wouldn't block it if they didn't want you seeing it at work, and if they scupper ya, you might be in for a bolloking

not being able to access ebay is a bit sucky though - aint exactly xxxfatchickswithdildos.com is it

    Shooooooo-ryuken!

If the blocking proxy is any good both of those suggested sites will be blocked anyway.

I wouldn't do it - these things are blocked for a reason (well usually, I don't get the sun one?) but blocking web based e-mail is for secuirty purposes.

You'll probably find in your contract that improper use of the internet is a sackable offence or something, so trying to get round the blocking is a pretty big step towards that.

go to "Focus" on the left menu
then on the title picture at the top, where it says "The Finance Page", go to the top left of the picture of the building made of mirror glass and click..

    All sweeping statements are wrong.

If the IT dept is up to anything they'll have the ports blocked. Or indeed creation of new e-mail accounts can be blocked if you don't have the correct rights.
