Default Best paper to print out photos from digital camera

Once you have transferred your pcites from your digital camera to pc, you mat want to print a few special ones out.

Here a few photo papers i reccommend.

5760/4800/2880dpi 210g A4 Instant Dry Photo Silk. Suitable for ultra high quality digital photograph printing with anti glare silky finish.

Normally around 4 quid for 20 sheets

MATTE COATED Inkjet Photo Paper. A4,100 sheets,128g,4800dpi.Ideal for high quality digital photograph printing/reports/presentations

Found this at staples 1.50 for a pack of 100.

PHOTO GLOSS Paper. A4,HEAVY DUTY Professional Quality 260g,Resin Coated, 4800/5760dpi ~ ideal for high quality digital Photos

5 quid for a pck of 20, most expensive i have seen yet, but good quality.

The above i have used, but printing so many i did not keep buying the expensive paper, so i looked for the cheapest, yes call em me a cheap skate :-p

Above i reccommend and have been good quality for me.

50 sheets A4 photo glossy at 170gsm for about 3 quid from ALDI. Works well with my Epson.

I've managed to print out 2048 x 1536 photos up to 10" x 15 " which are quite impressive, although the pixels become a little blocky at close inspection, but viewed from a few feet away its quite sharp.
Which is why I'm after either the new olympus 8080 or the nikon 8700, still undecided. As for the paper I use Olmec 260g satin , it's quality paper but it comes at a price approx £25 for 30 A3 sheets.

for a4 prints i use fugifilm 270gsm glossy ( purple band on the carboard box ) iv'e yet to find better off the shelf paper
ive tried fuji silk , mat also tried most of what kodak offer there ultima stuff aint bad but not a patch on the fugi gloss

epson paper is ok but hp photo paper is very sad indeed
not done a lot with canon paper but it's seems ok
ilford is ok but i think i have been spoiled by the fugi now so i am a bit sceptical over other types of paper

I generally stick to Epson paper for my Epson printer. Using other brands can effect the light fastness of the print.

Ilford also do a nice paper 280g Smooth Pearl.

I've printed up to A3+ with a 3.1 MP camera which produced no noticeable blocks. Although I did upsize it using this handy little Photoshop action I found.
