I'm a vegetarian, have been for many years I want to know what everyone thinks of vegetarianism.

Before you say that you are vegetarian, chicken and fish do NOT count, last time I checked they are still animals.

...and no, I dont miss bacon or steaks.

A little something called the food chain prevents me from being Vegetarian. Animals eat other animals for nurishment, it is perfectly natural. Why should humans be any different? Foxes dont sit around worrying about how the farmer treats his chickens in the coop, and the spider thinks nothing of trapping the fly with her web.

Admittedly the way in which some animals are treated isnt ideal, but to be honest i am not losing any sleep over it. I enjoy meat in varying forms, and am not about to give it up and eat pretend-meat products for the benefit of animals with no conscious thought process to even offer any acknowodgement of my sacrifice.

Sorry mate but i am a carnivore through and through.

its natural to eat meat, our teeth are designed for eating both meat and vegetables, so i find myself drawn to eating meat as well.

plus i just couldnt give up my bacon sarnies and steaks

Yeah, I wear leather shoes, I'd prefer not to but it's alot of effort and money to get veggie ones. If I had a pet I'd make sure it was veggie

100% agree on that one - the only thing that annoys me more than real vegitarians is people who think fish are vegetables

i eat meat cos cows exist to be eaten, they wouldnt be bred for it without me eating them.

i dont eat fish cos they are wild then randomly plucked out of the sea and they are becoming endagered. the farmed ones are so ill they need to be injected with dye just to make them look edible

i also dont eat/get eggs from battery hens, i prefer duracell

I have nowt against vegetarians, and I applaud mule for not getting holier than thou with us carnivores.
Each to their own, the same as my view on religion - do as you want as long as you don't try and ram it down my throat (ooh-er!)

I agree that eating meat is natural and that man is naturally a carnivore, but I'm not too sure about farming animals purely for food, someone has given examples of how foxes and spiders don't care where they're meat comes from but foxes don't stick a million chickens in a large box and force feed them until they are big enough to provide a decent meal, then stuff the poor f**kers with garlic butter and pass them off as a ready meal.
