I saw Oasis last night in Poole at the warmup gig, it was the best Oasis gig I have been to and I have seen them loads of times. 2500 people in a small venue while Liam and Noel belted out ALL the hits including Wonderwall and Champange supernova which were droped for the last tour. 2 new songs which sound good 1 abit like Live forever and the other a short one writen by Liam which was good too.

I wish I was going to Glastonbury to see them again. well worth a listen on radio1

Oasis were shite at Glasto 2004, who wants to see a bored off his tits thirty something singing down his nose, absolute tosh. Put in about as much effort as Becks did in portugal...

    What a great weekend.

Totally different to last year. The weather was a pisser but it was still excellent.

Best gig? Shit, I can't even remember what I saw now.

    Bassment Jaxx were brilliant.

Chemical Brothers, Orbital, Phil Kaye in the Cabaret tent, Ralph Myerz and the Jack Herren Band, Groove Armada, Badly Drawn Boy, Quantic Soul Orchestra...

Also Red Bull Saloon 25 was the best place there this year. They had some great stuff on. And the Red Bull, Orange and Ginger helped things along nicely too...

    Can't wait till next year!!

this was my first glastonbury - and what a glasto it was! i will be going every year till i die if i can help it.

it was a great experience to say the least - never got to see half as much as i would have liked but still had the best time of my life, even in the mud which never put a dampner on things.

was camped in the Hitching Hill field so was a bit out of the way but a good place to camp as there is toilets and a food/drink place there.

thought oasis were fantastic myself - seen a few reviews where they have been slated for not interacting with the crowd enough??? what do you want them to do - have full blown conversations with 100,000 people? or walk from to each side of the stage after every song waving and lapping the attention up like mcartney did with a 5 minute pause while he did so? i know id rather them blaze through the set - and they did - fanatasic!

mcartney was good as well though - waves and pauses apart - seen him 3 times now - cant beat the beatles classics.

other highlights for me were orbital on sunday - their last gig. the disco/funk in the dance tent on saturday afternoon with soul 2 soul the highlight of that.
james brown - 71 and still going strong. groove armada were good too.
i was impressed by the glade - couldnt move there on friday night as everyone was expecting fatboy slim and the chemical brothers to play but neither did - fatboy slim did play in lost vaguness though i heard....damn!

ended up in the budweiser tent 'the crown' a few nights which was bouncing especially on saturday night.

ah well - only another year left to wait - U2 are meant to be headlining - how good will that be!!

Yeah i know what you mean about missing acts etc. Fatboy slim played on the radio 1 stage the same time as James brown. As i dont think you will see james brown again i decided to go see him. Catch fatboy another time i hope.
