interesting..
im happy just using IE as an inbox atm.. i dont use IE for anything else, and opera isnt yet supported by gmail. so ive just set my IE homepage to gmail.
but that program looks like itll bridge the gap for those who wish to use a mail client, until google make pop3 possible.
plus atm, i check every now and then to see if i have any invites waiting... none yet.. ****s
Google wont make it POP3 because they rely on the Users to see the adverts - If they offered Pop3 they would not make enough money from the adverts.
Thanks for the post, great app
Does anyone know how to setup Gmail using a HTTP or IMAP server instead of using the POP3?

This is how Hotmail configures itself in OE and I`d only assume Gmail is the same!
if you use FireFox , which you all should be using anyway cos its 10x better then IE, then you can get an extension for it so you can be alerted fot Gmail.
It sits in the firefox browser and neatly alerts when a new gmail is imcoming, superb!
check GMail Notifier for the extension
Yahoo relies on people seeing adverts too, but they have pop3.Originally Posted by spherian
agreed i only recently converted to fire fox and the gmail icon is very handy, and i love the use of tabs to go from 1 site to another :thumbsOriginally Posted by biggy7

I recently switched to firefox as well and admittedly haven't really looked in to using it's full potential but this extension for GMail is the shiznit :thumbs
Back on-topic, thanks to lemaru for the post
It says in their help section:
While Gmail doesn't currently offer Outlook integration, we are testing many new features to improve the Gmail service. In the meantime, if you have ideas and suggestions about features we should include, please let us know here.
So maybe it will be implemented in the future?
