    Default organizing my photos

    Hi all,

I've just finished having a play with adobe photoshop album 2.0 and
paintshop pro photo album v5. But unfortunatley neither of them do
    what i'm looking for.

I'm after an application which, like the above will let me organise
all my photos into categories and/or dates. That's great, they both do
that very well, however what i'd also like is an ability to export my
catagloue to a folder/disk and still mainting the date or category
    structure.

for example, say i've setup categories for family, holidays, scenery
and cars and setup 100's of pictures in each. What i want is an option
to "Export catalogue to disk.." option which lets me specify a
destination and it would then export my photos' retaining the
    catalogue structure as folders

    c:\photos
    + c:\photos\family\
    img1.jpg... imgx..jpg
    + c:\photos\holidays\
    img1.jpg... imgx.jpg
    + c:\photos\scenery\
    img1.jpg... imgx.jpg
    + c:\photos\cars\
    img1.jpg... imgx.jpg

Does anyone know of an application which allows me to do this? Seems
the 2 i've tested above seem to want to insist that their app is the
only one you use so dont offer this feature (

    Thanks in advance

I Believe ACDSee will let you organise by date, type and many other features.

Yeah there's a few which let me organize the photos that way but they all work off the structure i already have on my system if after i've finished organizing them all I want to exeport to a new directory structure using the categories etc as folder names, none of em do this (

it's just so that i can get to the photos i want really without having to boot up the software, i.e if i'm on another machine etc.

I have an app that I got with my camera that organises the folders using date (it names the folder with the date the photos are taken). It creates html files so you can view the gallery easily and you can upload it straight into web space. My only prob is the gallery only seems to work IE.

Have a look at mine and let me know what you think
