Default Images to CD to play on DVD stand-alone

Hi all. I''m having a bit of bother trying to display my images on the stand-alone DVD player. I'm using Nero 6 which can create a slideshow but it won't play on the DVD. I have been using a re-writable disc (could this be the problem?) The most annoying part is that I have once actually succeeded in this task but now the player refuses to display the pics. Any tips? Cheers
Sleeping with pr0stitutes is like making your cat dance with you on its hind legs. You know it's wrong, but you try to convince yourself that they're enjoying it as well.

look for a program called photo to vcd it's just the ticket for making up a slideshow to view on a dvd player

i wouldn't bother with RW disks not many dvd players like to play them just use normal writeable's there cheap enough nowadays

i tried photo2vcd and wasnt impressed at all, all it does is create a mpeg file of your photos and since its vcd or svcd the resolution isnt great.

I found nero produced much higher quality results, not sure what res they are but they look pretty sweet

i was pretty convinced that photo to vcd would burn to dvd but it looks like it can't so it would limit the resolution of the photo to vcd / svcd standard

Sorry its a bit late but try MemoriesOnTV. I use it. It gives good results with transitions, & adding music and a menu page.

    http://www.picturetotv.com/

You can download it from this site. Hope it helps...

Well I have tried most programs out there and continually come back to ProShow Gold. It will format to 4:3 and 16:9, sync sound to photo's 100% everytime and all the time. Make any kind of disk with, menue structure, you want and very good quality indeed, even has hundreds of transitions although I find the default to be the best. Its only a 13mb download and you really can't go wrong.

Had a look at Photo2dvd 3 studio the other day as my Grandad wanted some software to this, installed it, set it up via the wizard that pops up, dragged my pics and a couple of tunes over and had a photo DVD in my hand a bit later, took about 20 mins from installing to watching.

ah there's a lot of packages that write to cd it's when you want to write to dvd ( better quality ) then the packages get a bit thin on the ground

i had a play with pro show gold and that seems the best one so far it's very similar to memories on tv but with more control by the looks of it
