Win XP Networking

Hi, I've currently have a personal web server running on my pc (WinXp) which is connected to the internet via an adsl connection. I use a dynamic dns (www.no-ip.com) so that I can contact the machine when the isp changes my ip address.

I've now networked this pc with another pc running Mandrake 10. I've got the network between these two pc's running fine. I now want to run the personnel web server on the Mandrake machine.

How do I re-direct requests from the internet though the Xp machine to the web server on the Mandrake machine ?

Any help would be appreciated !

Assuming that you've got some sort of router connected into your adsl here...

Go into your router settings and there should be a 'port forwarding' or 'port mapping' option... Port forward all incoming port 80 (and 433 for ssl) traffic to the ip address of your linux box.



Assuming that you haven't got some sort of adsl router here...

If you ain't got a router get hold of a copy of Kerio WinRoute Firewall 6 for your PC and uninstall any other firewalls. There is a 'port mapping' option that works just the same.
