    Default new motherboard

    can i chaqnge my motherboard without having to reinstall win xp as every time i try i get the blue screen and i dont want to format

    Changing a motherboard and not reinstalling the o/s can cause problems as you will get driver conflicts from the old board's drivers and the new one.

    I would backup all your data and do a reinstall. I know it's a pain in the arse if you've got lots of programs installed but it will work a lot better from a fresh install.
