Question SVCD to DVD (Vob files). Can it be done?

I want to convert a SVCD movie into a stand-alone DVD (which requires VOB files of course).

Is it possible to make this happen in a simple one-step process?

I have DVD-Lab, wgich I thought might do it, but I cannot work it out for the life of me! :nowords:

If anyone knows how it can be done, could either post a reply with (simple !!) instructions here, or alternatively e-mail at bilbo_baggins_uk@hotmail.com with a guide of some sort.

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards.

    Bilbo.

the way i do this is with

"Ulead Dvd movie factory 2" (add the .dat from the .bin/cue mounted via Daemon Tools) and dvd shrink the final image to make it fit onto a single layer dvdr...

(works on my dvd player. not tested on others.)

The "ulead dvd movie factory 2" is a sound investment.

its pretty intensive ((for a 2 disc svcd) takes 5 hours on my a64 xp3200+ 512mb ram)
    but the results are nice.

hmmm that sounds ok im havin a bit of a problem with some of the divx files im running through neoDVD and The Film Machine while theyre both outputting the film ok the files aspect ratio seem messed up after the encode to vob hopefully xoom will sort it, dvd santa did but theres no crack as far as i could find (had a look on astalavista/cracks.am etc and couldnt find anything) so ive been choppin with some vob editors to take the demo off but its getting time consuming

who makes xoom and do they have an :whistle evaluation copy on their website ?

    cas

btw in response to Bilbo_baggin neoDVD would sort it too, sometimes it can be a bit ropey but xvid/divx/svcd/kvcd/kdvd/whatever to dvd in roughly 2 hours give or take (including the burn) aint bad
