Mixing sweet and savoury...is it for you?

I've just eaten a currant teacake filled with a nice mature wexford cheddar, topped with slices of spanish onion, the delicate sweetness of the currants delightfully offset the strong cheese flavour while the onion cut through the whole experience like a tangy sword of truth.

Does anyone else have any other favourite sweet/savoury combinations?
