I don't think she quitter, she didn't give up easily did she? Do you think you could move your fat arse 20 odd miles in the baking heat? without a car and a MacDonald's pit stop?

Not a cat in hells chance.

But I'm also guessing that Paula Radcliffe couldn't climb a ladder about 400 times a day and clean the windows on approximately 80 or 90 houses which is what i'm paid to do

I think she tried her best, thats all you can ask of her, if you are using the definition of a 'Quitter' then obviously yes she quit, however, she tried her hardest and was the best we have. What is it with people, always looking for someone to hate or blame, at the world cup its usually Beckham and its her turn for the Olympics. She tried her hardest and thats all that matters.

No she is no quitter by a long shot. It takes years and years of dedication and commitment to do what she has done over the years and I take my hat off to her for what she has done.

The biggest problem she had and I dont thing she took it into consideration was the heat. As a good example is Kelly Holmes, she done a lot of hot weather training and it worked for her, I dont thing Paula Radcliffe done any.

After running 20 miles and trying to do 10,000 meters it was a hard task, but she tried and did her best.

I agree with Realist,If she trained more for the weather I think she could have easily won it,to then try the 10,000 after that proves she no quitter.

She is a quitter. Im sure she could have managed to finish the 10k, nobody really gave a shit where she would come but she bottled it.

She's a fukin disgrace, she should have taken a leaf out of Kelly Holme's book, she's a true champion. No fuker gave her a chance coming into these olympics and she has had nothing but disappointment in the past but she kept going through all the bad results and never gave in. She might not have the god given talent that Radcliffe has got but she's got spirit and its that spirit that Radcliffe is sadly lacking.

quitter in my book, there were a lot of fans waiting in that stadium for her , she could have at least jogged the rest or even walked and then to pull up in the 10k.. personally i dont think she wanted to do the second race but there was so much media pressure she did it & quit again.

i didnt see the leader in the mens marathon quit after being jumped on by that lunatic irish ex priest (same nutter than ran out on the track during the grand prix a while ago)

dont mention about the heat training , its not like it wasnt gonna be hot during this olympics eh ? hmmm greece during the summer, better train in the alps & packa jumper in the case :nowords:

it was gonna be hot so she should have been prepared for it.

forget radcliffe concentrate on the success stories from the games , kelly holmes , amir khan etc.

I`m afrad to say I stood up for her after the marathon, but what she said after the 10k changed my mind, she said that she only entered the 10k because she thought she could win it, and dropped out when she realised she couldn`t stay with the leaders (because her leg muscles were starting to hurt), so it was pointless going on.

Your all talking a load of bollox. I bet not one of you have ever run, put any hard training in for sports of any kind.

Everyone including superstars are entitled to an off day and I still say she is no quitter.

I've even read on other forums that she's on drugs "Bollox"

Your all talking through that great large hole "Your ASS"

Like a good pr0stitute there is one rule you should remember " Your body is your livelihood " If you screw your body up you can't do your job and that means no money. I am sure she could have finished the marathon or the ten thousand meters but the damage was done, there is no point in her making it worse it could effect her season next year.

Agree 100%, then she quit because she wasnt good enough.

feel sorry for her too, but the question is is she a quitter?
