No T Stream ??

Hi guys,,, I am having a slight problem. I have a 4001 box (I think) and am using an ATMega163 card. My screen went blank a few mins ago,,, so I had a look at the engineers menu,,, only to find in the Conditional Access Menu "No T Stream"

What does this mean plz.

Try booting box with the card out and insert it when asked....

Cheers m8,,, just tried that and it keeps hanging on the "Please Wait. Loading Data" screen now.

Sounds like me box is fcuked,,, lol.

why would you be using a 4001??? when your in a tw area and 4001's are pure ntl!!!

I have just checked and it is the 2000 model,,, and it is an NTHell box which has had the atmels flashed with T/W software. It has been on for about an hour now stuck on the "Please wait" screen. But has just been chucked out of the top window.

Thanx for the suggestion m8,,, but I have just tried 2 cables (one which I am using on my modem,, so thats ok) and still no joy.

Any more ideas,,, please,,, ??

Right,,, me and a m8 think we may have cracked this. We think it is the tuner thingy. I am hoping to replace this soon so will let you all know. :tongue :tongue

Well if it dont work I found this on another forum,,,

do a search on checking the caps i had the same problem changed the caps all ok now hope this helps

Right,,, heres an update. I have tried another box, and still no t stream. But I am now using the cable that I was using for the box,,, on my modem.

So it seems there is no fault with my box or cables, but I still cannot use my box ??

From what I have been told TW may have turned the gain down,,, is this possible ??

If so can I use any sort of amplifier or booster ??

Any help would be much appreciated as I am now pulling my hair out.

termy the error code170 just means the box can't talk back (a benefit)
