Route 66 Mobile Britain for Symbian

Hi all,

I don't know if you're all aware but the application for this excellent piece of software was recently released thru #aivanet on efnet irc.

The problem that we have is that there are no uk maps out there, just benelux, greece, germany and italy at the moment.

What I propose is that we club together to purchase a legitimate copy of the software from www.66.com as it is rather expensive (199 euros!).

I have the knowledge and the means to liberate the uk map and help anyone who needs it with installing the released application.

The more people in this, the cheaper it gets, so feel free to post in thread or pm me if you would like to join.

I have 2 ideas on how to run this, either I pay double what everyone else pays and keep the mmc afterwards, or we rip the map and sell the original on ebay and all take a smallish hit.

Remember if 6 people come in its just over 20 quid each !

Sounds good to me. Id be willing to join in this co op. Then when we sell the software on ebay later we will probably get 80% of our money back. If not more.

The only problem is that you can't get the software by itself only with a BT GPS receiver.

Plus Tomtom have their Nav software for S60 phones out this month as well so it might be worth hanging on as I have had pricing sent through for it this morning.

I would be willing to get involved as I can get it for us from work and get it at cost.

you can buy the software alone direct from their web shop but i emailed them to ask about local resellers and they admitted they only sell it direct that way. Only the full kit is available thru resellers.

Any change of a hint on the price of the ttn software and when it will be available u238 ??

I have just checked their website and I stand corrected - it is def. new from them though.

I have called our supplier and they are getting back to me with a price. If possible I would like to keep the RSMMC becuase I have just bought a Nokia 7610 - obviously if I can't then no probs. I am willing to pay the extra for the RS-MMC

Also, the price of the kit has just come down due to the impending release of TT Mobile. I would be happy to supply at cost and pay £70 and keep the BT GPS and RS-MMC - it would leave you £21.13 to pay each between 4 people.

I have had a look at the versions released on the web and it looks like the crack will work with all versions and you just need a copy of the map file - which obviously I will be able to supply if we do this

I have the cracked German and Swiss/Austrian versions. If someone had the UK map, we could make all 3 versions available.

the only protection is on the app itself. I have spoken to the original cracker and he says there is no protection on the map at all. It can be copied off by usual means. The cracked app is all over the place now but still no uk maps.

But for this don't you need the bluetooth GPRS receiver otherwise your purchasing a chocolate teapot !:coffee:

Correct,all you need is the cracked app, which works with the Germany, Benelux, and Swiss/Austrian versions so far.

and also greece and italy maps are out. Greece was the first map out.

Hi everyone!

Just found your forum while searching for the Britain map.
Unfortunately i couldn't find the GB map anywhere on the net. I do have all the other available maps (Italy, Athens, Germany, BeNeLux and Alps). Since i'll be travelling to London on Sunday i would be highly interested in the Britain map.
I have been using the Software for quite a while all over Europe and its working just great.

So if you are actually buying the package i would really appreciate it if you make it available to everyone.

Could some1 please send me an link or something where i can download the cracked version of route 66 on my mobile??
Becouse i have looking for it for the intire week but i cant find it, or could someone send it or something, i would be realy happy with it!!!

Now it seems the maps are starting to become available. I just downloaded the maps for Spain and Portugal, working on the France map now. If someone has a place for me to upload and is willing to share with others, I would be more than happy.
