there are various programs that let u recover files that have been deleted.

9/10 u can get a file back, i have managed to revive harddrives and files after a format!

so im sure there is a good chance of getting ur files back.

    i use 'getdataback NTSC/FAT'

but that is on a harddrive, there are programs avalible for simple jobs like urs. have a look around.

to prevent this happening in the future download or buy Norton Utillities software. This saves all your files when you delete them by accident. You can than search and place choosen files back ( make them vissible again) .

I took your advice and downloaded the above software, but I can't figure out how to install it on my camera :whistle

    @ Darkstar,
Easy Recovery Pro will recover the deleted pics for you.
Remember though, try not to use the memory stick that you want to recover the data from, as the more you write to it, the less chance of getting the data back.

I had a hard drive crash on me a few years ago, lost about 400 pictures with it, a hard lesson. Now I keep my pictures on 2 physically different drives. When I download the pictures from my camera, they go onto the C drive and I have a program running in the background called Handy Backup 2.1 , when I want or when I close my PC, it syncs the photo folder on the C drive with a backup folder on the F drive (also backs up my emails, documents etc). Note the program will only run if you allow it internet access at the time it is running. Now if I want to 'lose' my pictures, I have to delete them from 2 different places. They are also backed up to disc occasionally, but only when I remember and have enough time :whistle

With norton utilities right click on the recycle bin and go to unerase wizard. this will get you these files back. But if you have deleted the protected files it makes it harder

Not really what you wanted, as you wiped stuff off your pc,

but there is a tool called Digital Photo Recover v2.0.3 Power Pack - buy it from http://www.photosrecovery.com. Or look in the usual online places for "free" :whistle copies.

It's able to recover accidentally deleted files from digital media such as compact flash, mmc, SD, etc.......................

might come in handy for some folks
