Playstaion 2 Online gameplay

How do Online games work on the PS2? I know there are loads of games out there, plus Fifa 2005, GTA and 'Smackdown v Raw' will be able to be played online, i wanna know what i need and how to do it.

Does anyone know how, or have any online experience??

not tried it m8, i know you need the network adapter and a broadband connection...

as i said, not looked into it..yet!

as daz73 mentioned, you need to buy a PlayStation network adapter and have an existing broadband connection. There is no charge to use the gaming service (live Xbox Live!) so once you pay up for the network adapter that's it.

NOTE: make sure you write down the serial number of you PlayStation 2 (on the back) BEFORE you plug the adapter in. You will need to enter that numer on the registration screen once you're online.

Depending on the game and the number of users connected a game is either run on a dedicated server or via peer 2 peer. Obviously the game list etc is run on the server. 1v1 games are usually run via peer 2 peer.

Get your network adapter from play.com for �17.99 its a bargain :thumbs
