    Default Does anyone remember M.C.O.G?

Absolutelt loved this program when i was a kid. Used to be on old cable late 80's early 90's. Have no idea why they don't air it again instead of wasting money on the shitty kids shows nowadays :nowords:

There are 39 20-odd min episodes which took fookin ages to get hold of but if anyones interested let me know

It was superb, I was just humming the theme tune a few days ago. They really should repeat stuff like that. Much better than the sh*te kids have to put up with now.

ahh mysterious cities of gold, a true classic.

3 seasons totaling 39 episodes, 37 consisting of an intro, a recap, an episode, a documentry, a to follow and the closing credits with the other 2 having either an intro or a to follow only.

a japanese / french co production shown globaly.

availible on dvd in france only (without an english option) it has become one of the most requested cartoon shows to be put on dvd, however the company that owns the rights to release it in the uk insists that despite the number of requests their studies show that people would not actualy be prepared to buy it if released.

although in france and japan it was shown with the documentries in place the english language versions have never been shown in the west, in fact the only place ever to see them in english was australia and even there they were only shown once, the reasoning behind that was that in the west children would have switched channels when they came on and so the networks wouldnt allow it..

the full set takes 13 vcd's in total for what its worth. its available on most p2p networks with a little perseverence as well as from at least a couple of websites. often seen in low quality .rm format its also around in higher quality .avi format.

if you realy hunt hard enough there is also ONE complete dvd rip episode in english (with documentry) but thats the only one and i've no idea of its origanal source but possibly a coverdisc from somewhere.

there are also avi versions of the original french versions available and even the japanese ones although they are hard to come by can be found (one a dubbed version and one or at least a few in french with japanese subtitles) as with the west no dvd has been released in france.

    now what was the question?

Why not download all 40 episodes and documentary.
http://www.dcs.warwick.ac.uk/~csucfm...an.co.uk/MCoG/ This links got the MPEG torrent.
A true classic childrens program of the 80s with great music. They just don't put this amount of effort in the current programs anymore.

LOL because they only made 39

seriously if you realy want to find something special find one or two of the episodes they made for the return to the cities of gold, the series was never finished and has never been aired but legend has it that 2 completed episodes exist (in french).

BTW i've no idea what format they are in but its too small to be the mpeg set

as an idea on the file sizes the episodes alone (without intro, recap, to follow, docu or ending) episode one's are listed below

    realmedia 27.5mb
    avi 67.0mb
    vcd / mpeg 225.0mb
    dvdrip 285.0mb.

for what its worth the following episodes were cut 2, 4 (twice), 6, 27, 32 (twice) & 38, i dont know the reasons for the cuts (probably for the running times) but in mpeg format the missing bits amount to some 41mb (i only have the missing bits in mpeg).

now if you realy want to impress me lets see if you can find all 26 episodes of princess of the nile in english (same animators and some voices too).

i think i have about 6 episodes (some avi some rm) out of the 26 they made (26 mins per episode).
