    Help Corsa, steering fooked!!!

My Corsa's steering rack is bent, the arm that goes to the wheel from whatever is bent (i think thats what the guy said)

Anyways, How do you go about taking the steering wheel off to center the steering wheel?? The steering wheel has an airbag, L reg corsa, 5 door, 1.4i.

So, to make it clear...How do you get the steering wheel off a car with an airbag?

    Cheers guys

disconnect battery and leave for a while
there will be some small holes the the back of the airbag containing torx bolts (size 15 i think???????????)
udo theses and the airbag will release
then carefully remove the squib feeds (wires)
the clip slides across then pull out the connector
you will now see the main retaining bolt for the steering wheel
    thats it

wouldnt it be easier to get it tracked ?
he probably means the arm from the rack to the wheel anyway
    thanks

I put it in to get the tracking down and he said it wouldn't even register on the gauge cause it was that bad. Yeah he showed me the bent bit and i think it sounds like the arm from the rack to the wheel. Is it possible to get the above mentioned part and fit it by its self?? How much hassle and skill is required???

    Cheers so far. :thumbs

If the track rods bent then moving the steering wheel will straighten the steering wheel but it will do bugger all for the driving of the vehicle.
If its so bent it isn't registering on the gauges then i wouldn't advise driving it till its sorted.
Your tyres will be shafted in no time.

The track rod can be easily replaced using simple tools, they basically screw into the rack.
Slide the boot back and all will be revealed.
Count the number of turns it takes to remove it from the track rod end and count it back on again.
Then get it tracked up to make sure its in the right spot.
