    Default Controller Rumble Problems

    Hi,

Is anyone else having problems with a backed-up version of Burnout 3 not rumbling the controllers properly.

I get a very faint, near unperceivable rumble when in a crash, but thats it. Nothing compared to the original retail version.

Come to think of it, none of my games seem to rumble anymore. Wonder if its down to a larger hard drive taking all the juice from the power supply, or maybe a bug in the bios.

    Any comments appreciated.

    Cheers

    Glen.

    Never had this problem.
Have you tried a different controller? It isn't just a knackered controller, is it?

There are two motors in the controller, one with large offset weight, and one with small-The large motor does wear out if used a lot cos the weight puts quite a lot of strain on the motor bearings and then takes out the brushes when the bearing fails, as it spins-Try another controller, if it works, you could always swap the motors over so that you feel large rumbles...

    Hi Gents,

    Thanks for the answers.

Brand new xbox, 2 brand new controllers, one MS, one Logic 3. Both have the same problem.

Tried in a few xbox's, exactly the same problem, no vibration, or very very weak.

    Hi,

Tried in a few xboxs now with a multitude of controllers, still no go. So your telling me that your modded xbox works fine with strong vibration playing burnout 3?

Mine does, I get a little vibration when rubbing up against cars, and strong vibration on crashes, and mine is modded. Wierd fault, I would see if it does it on other games, halo is a good one at the start of the level "halo" where the pelican crashes, and she says "we are coming in too fast etc" the controller vibrates hard for 30 seconds or so
