eTEC router/modem help

i bought this router the other day, i set it all according to the manual but it holds the connection for a few min before it disconnects and reconnects, i know it isnt bulldog because when my modem eventually connects it never drops the connection anyone got anyideas on how to solve this issue? thanks

Here's what I'd do Sanj,

Take that eTec piece of crap back & get a refund.

Then head over to E Bay and do a search for a 5861, they are the daddy of ADSL routers and can be had for peanuts these days.
Don't worry about buying an ex-BT one, they are very easy to unlock and get all the features back.
