Glazer 'eyeing Man Utd bid'
Glazer said in March he would not make an offer
Malcolm Glazer is set to launch a £650m takeover bid for Manchester United, according to reports.
Glazer, who owns American football franchise Tampa Bay Buccaneers, already owns a 19.17% stake in United.
Banker Mehmet Dalmann, who masterminds the American tycoon's share purchases, says a takeover bid is on the cards.
"The Glazers want to own the club, either through buying more shares or through management or board level," Dalmann told the Sunday Express.
"The Glazer family - Malcolm and his sons Joel, Ed and Bryan - are interested in having a major involvement in United."
Glazer, who has invested £140m in buying United shares, has been at the centre of takeover speculation for a while. And it is believed that he has plans to invest in new players as well as extending manager Sir Alex Ferguson's contract if he can gain control of the club.
