From Dixons while stocks last. Same camera's £600 in my Argos catalogue. Don't know yet how web prices compare.

It's a good price. I've been waiting for the S5500 to be available, which is still going to be coming in at around £249
One of the cheaper places is http://www.bristolcameras.co.uk/page1.htm and the S7000 is £339 there. There are a few places which have the camera at about the same prices but yours seems a good deal, well found.
If theyve sold out at Dixons, PCWorld are doing them for same price and buyacamera.co.uk (http://www.buyacamera.co.uk/xsearch....=FUJCA470&pt=d) are doing it for 299.98 but are offering a 2 month warrenty.
Fuji S5500 is at £237.99 inc at dabs.com, stock in tomorrow/Wednesday

I feel the need, the need for speed. ;-)
Thanks for that, I checked Dabs a while ago and was tempted, but,
Kit 2 - Fuji Finepix S5500 + 256mb xD Picture Card + 4 x 2000mah Nimh Batteries + 7hr Charger + Fuji SC-FX5 Case
From ukdigital.co.uk for £327 I think is the one I may go for. Then again I may wait a month or 2 and see if the price comes down, see if the wife will get it me for Christmas :thumbs

Wow!!! :coffee:
Thats a whole shed load of info, a link may have had the same effect though?
The "deal" i put up that I was waiting for, and I am not sure if there are better but the chaps (and Chapes's (damb sure that is spelt wrong)) on here will, includes a 256Mb XD card, spare batteries and charger etc, which is more use than a case alone. A case is still worth the while though.
Perhaps I have had too many light refreshments but thats a whole lot of reading plus an extra picture when a quick link would do?
£299 is a very good price, I bought one of these a couple of months ago from 7dayshopper for £325 and added a 256 xd card for another £50.
It is an awesome piece of kit and a give-away at the price, I first saw this camera for sale in Feb for £699 and was tempted then lol, would've been gutted if I'd paid that and then seen todays price.
Wefty
I am still very tempted by this camera. Could you (or anyone who has already got one) give a little more info such as:
How long of a delay from pressing the shutter to camera taking picture? (My present one takes over a second)
How good is the macro feature?
Is the auto feature as good as they say or are the manual settings better?
Does it drain the batteries quickly or not?
Any other info would be great, a slight review perhaps? You can PM the info if you wish, even a sample picture?
Mick
A little bit late perhaps, but thanks anyway. I got the S5500 and have been very happy with it
You mean "inc 2 Year Guarantee" as the site saysOriginally Posted by Looey
