Flashing Tsop

K done a search, found nowt about my problem. Im trying to flash a 1.4 Ive soldered the 2 top points on the mobo. Im using the highway flash pack. If i use linux method to flash i get flash failed ( btw where is the log file saved to ) and if i use evo to flas i get the error Manufacturers ID 09 device ID 00 !! flash not writeable!!. Ive checked to make sure the points r soldered with a meter, for continuity...but still this problem... any ideas whats wrong ?

Didn't think 1.4 xbox's could be flashed via TSOP thought only the first GEN could be done that way 1.0 etc.

I can't say I'm up on the modding / hardware of Xbox's it was more the games I fixed for Xbox's in the old days for my Beta mod... but that died a year ago.

I'm sure some more experienced hardware guys will answer your question fully!

K, an update....this is weird, cause ive just noticed the xbox boots with an xecuter 2 bios !!!!! even tho i had the error reports........anyway all is well.

I never use solder to bridge the points ,I use that paint fluid for repairing car window heating grills .

I put it on using a cocktail stick its great cos it only takes a cotton bud and aftershave to remove again. No chance of damaging the board.
