New Looking For Help Please!!!

I have a new xbox i guess it is a 1.6, not really sure. i am looking to buy a mod chip and a new hard drive around (120gigs). What should i buy? From Where? I am looking to burn the games onto my xbox so i can have them to play. i have no idea how to do this i just know it can be done. Please help with the bios too. Just dont understand the steps i need to do inorder to get this underway.
