need help programing card...please

tryin to sort out a card for my cousin,
he's got an ntl4000 box in telewest area, it is CR2 and has been working fine,
the other day his card went off, shows mute err in engineers menu,
the guy he got it off wants £100 to sort it out :nono
i asked my cousin to get the bk off him but the fooker says he can't remember what it is and need the atmels read.

anyway, i built the rs232 thingy and soldered it into box, fired up libby with the 4000.cfg file, sent an = 0 command but it didn't show anything, selected show serial number, and it returned the ird no followed by 16 other digits, i take it this is the bk, anyone confirm please?


o.k so now i have what i think is the bk, i fire up rstv1.4, put in ird and bk, select tw and create the hex, program a fun4 using clanzers minisdk, try it in the box, but don't get all the channels i get ch5 a couple of others a few asian channels, no sports or movies.

please advise what else i can try.

yes mate that would be the bk, never used clanzer, all i can think of is have you put the tw.hex and .hex you made in the right place for rst you could try distance instead of rst, it needs a wee bit more info, but it's worth a try

o.k just got it working, many thanks to all for their help.
i was putting the ird in the wrong format, was putting it in like 12 34 56 78 but should have been 78 56 34 12.
