xerox

hi wonder if anyone can help, i have been trying to tidy up my pc and when deleting files in the program directory i cam accross a folder called xerox in the folder is a file called nwiia. i have no idea how it got there so i tried to delete at which point it tells me that somone else is using the file and cant be deleted!!!

anyone have any ideas, what it is and how i can get rid?

I'd do some scans of it to make sure its not a virus. Have you done that?

yeah ive scanned and have updated my virus definitions but shows nothing, i dont like the name of it!!! and the fact i cant delete it seems a bit suspect!!

The short answer is that it does appear to be something related to "Windows Image Acquisition", which is a common component of Windows. Why it shows up, empty, and why it remains protected by the operating system is, as best we can tell, a mystery.


For what it's worth, it benign. It's on lots of systems, including my own.

its on mine too mate,well dads comps and has been since the day he got it
just 2 folders that cannot be deleted
