this game is sweet as fook!

beng it for a few hours now, everything is exactly as i hoped for! The graphics do appear a bit dodgy...but the whole thing is on the gta3 engine...so thats the reason. even the files and directory structure to the disk is the same as gta3&vc. The graphics have been improved still, it looks pixelated but smooth at the same time, it's not a big deal honestly.

bike riding is fun, poppin some bunny hops and shooting people...easy to fall off and it doesnt react well to some things, but it's still fun.

cars seem easy to drive and the controls have only been improved. There is no d-pad control but the left analgue stick will do you no harm (and I fooking hate using sticks!)

the targetting is much better too, and you can sneak/roll and do other crazy stuff

also, this game is fooking huge! not just big, but HUGE! hehe...yeah it's good

all in all i'm going back to it now and will spend the whole day in front of it - ahh unemployment is ok sometimes!

as for making your speeds go up, mine went from around 80kbps max up to 190kbps max,,,so yeah it worked really well!

well i got all the files, but most are incoplete ie 65/66 blocks. so i need 58 more blocks, I tried a par2 file iand smartpar says it is damaged getting all the other par2 files to try.

also for those that have got it, how is the size of the map? How does the first area compare to vice cuty?

Been playing it the last couple of hours, the map is huge. The other cities are locked from the beginning i think, no idea when they open. Haven't noticed a 2 player mode, only when playing pool in the bar. Played pool, basketball and a couple of arcade games so far. Done an house robbery too for one of the missions, that was fun. Great game

I am brand new to Newsgroups and was going to use GIGANEWS but subscribed to UsenetServer instead - Andreas is all over the place. With Usenet I generally get upto 180k during the night

the map is big! each city feels about the size of vice...even if it isnt. The cities are much more designed than previous gta's - stuff to play with is everywhere

The map opens out in nearly every mission, you start with just the lower left corner and then it grows out, after player for about 10 hours (good day today!) I've done quite a few missions and opened about 1/4-1/3rd of the map, still so much to go through...it takes ages to drive anywhere!

Also it seems that there are about 9 bikes+ so far...some of them are ****ing nice to ride, they make the screen blurry and wobbly which is fun..oh and nitro's are fun too! hehe and they last a long time!

I just did the first misson then went exploring.. took ages to go round the first island weather effects are beter.

I was in the country side during a storm, with a police helicopter's spotlight on me. looked awsome :thumbs

lol i'm on one of the dancing stages and it's really pissing me off, i can only accept the mission between 22:00 and 6:00 so if i fail it i have to wait until then. My house is on the other side of the city as well and i cant be arsed to drive all over there, takes too long!

The motorbikes are cool though, i love the offroader. Got in a streetsweeper as well at one point
