Website Login Problems

Hi, recently my IE has been playing up.

Whenever I go to a site such as hotmail or o2 and login, the next screen doesn't load at all, I just get a blank screen.

For example, as soon as I try logging into hotmail, the next screen tries to load for a split second but then stops (at the https://loginnet.passport.com/ppsecure.... part). If I try and refresh exactly the same thing happens. I'm guessing certain type of secure pages won't load?

Any idea's how to fix it?

I'm using IE 6.0.2800 i believe. XP SP1.
