    Default engine Management light

Sorry if this is already on here somewhere, but anyway:-

If you've got an engine-mangement light flashing on your dashboard, this will sometimes reset the fault code and allow you to get your car going:-

Remove all the fuses from the fuse panel and then re-insert them. :thumbs

Sometimes works. If not, then you'll need someone to plug there diagnostics computer into your car (garages can charge 60 quid, indipendants about 30).

old wives tale im afraid along with put radios in the freezer to decode them

it may work on some of the much older systems but i think you would be pushed to find one

    Tech Re: engine Management light

    Hi m8
is the light flashing when you insert the key?
if so this indicates that the ecu has not recognised the key.could be that the code has been wiped from the transponder (chip in key).
    Have u a spare.
could also be poor connection on the ariel around the ignition switch. remove the cover and check. sometimes comes disconnected espescialy with adjustable steering.
    What make , model vehicle?

    good luck.#

Before disconecting any battery or fuse ensure you know the code to reset your radio.
