memory does that aswell, have u just pushed the thing in, or have u tried completely removing it and reseating it, other than that it may be that removing the memory has caused it to fault!!

    were u ESD'd??

three beeps is memory problems on a lot of boards, cant remember what brand of bios chips uses that code but its a pretty popular one (google if u really wanna know but it doesnt matter)

take the memory out again and put it back in, did u use antistatic? why were you taking it out in the first place? try testing with other memory, try not to break it aswell though

Have to agree with ShadowMoses, were you grounded?. Sounds like ESD killed the memory or even your motherboard

do you have more than one stick in it and if not is it in slot one as most boards need the primary memory to be in slot one nearest the chip.or as has been said static killed it.

I don't often use and ESD mat or wrist strap, but have never killed any h/w. make sure you ground yourself by leaving the power cable connected and touching the chassis, or if you're working on the CPU/MBD/MEM, ground yourself and then disconnect the power to discharge the MBD.

This isn't best practise and I do advise antistatic devices, but they're not always available. :whistle
generally if you touch the case before any chips etc then you'll be fine.
also watch where you touch the parts. Memory and CPU are the most ESD senitive devices so never touch the contacts, just handle by the edges.
