Default Wiring Diagram For Ford 2006 RDS

Used to have a JVC KD-S891R with a pair of Infinity speakers in my Bug until a fortnight ago when some pikies decided they wanted them - Guess who won!

I found an old Ford 2006 RDS stereo in my house with the code painted on the side of it [result!] but there's no wiring info and no plug in the back.

Does anyone know if Halfords, or similar, sell generic plug blocks for the back, and if so, does anyone know what colour wires go where.

If there isn't a generic block, I'm gonna have to solder some wires onto the back of the stereo, so does anyone know where the power & speakers go?

I found it used the generic Ford block, so I got one from Halfords - rip off at £13!

    Hi All,
You can usually get the connectors with a length of wire from a breakers for a couple of quid. You can then use the details from the Mirez site to match up the speaker and power connections. Cheaper and neater if you are handy with a soldering iron and some heatshrink sleeving from Maplins.
Halfords etc. do sell adapter leads that just plug in - makes for an easy job, but (as you say) they are not cheap !
    Possible alternative supplier: http://www.autoleads.co.uk/head_unit_adaptor.html
Not much help to iwgunter now I know, but worth others knowing for future reference.

    HTH.
