    Default Serv-u

    im messing round wif it but cant seem 2 get it working with my router any ideas?
    when i try 2 conect it just says

    Connecting to ***.**.***.***
    Connected to ***.**.***.*** -> IP=(***.**.***.***) PORT=**
    220 VxWorks (5.4.1) FTP server ready
    USER ***
    331 Password required
    PASS (hidden)
    530 Login failed.
    Connection failed

    any help would be appriciated,i used 2 mess on with serv u n bulletproof ages ago,but nvr botherd with them for along time,well not since iv had my router,n i duno wot 2 do,thanx 4 any help

    530 Login failed. <<<that is saying that the password,user name is not right

    thats the error im getting and im putting in the user and pass correct,i even used a 3 letter username and a 2 letter password,cant get alot more simple,lol,any other ideas?

    Some FTP servers has IP restriction on it. So that if you happened to be connecting to the server from a range of IP outside the scope or outside the subnet, it will simply refuse to authenticate (for security purpose) and give 530 error.

    e.g. if you are a BT openworld broadband customer with a free ftp hosting account, and you are connecting to the intenet using and AOL dialup, for security reasons, the FTP server can refuse the login.
