yeah that mental bloke who you follow in that level is proper mental.

I've got some pet spiders now, they are proper hardcore, but just spent best part of 40 mins with the gravity gun trying to get to them.

Hey can you play this online at all?

I don't seem to be able to work it out, I use the steam thingy and it only has Half Life listed, not '2'

No, there's no multiplayer in HL2 itself, valve copped-out and said that CS:S was the multiplayer part of HL2, but that's just weak

i'm getting bored of it now, i'm back in town, big war, striders, but it's getting too repetative now

    not yet.

The point is its an excellent single player game.

I'm sure the modders will write something tho, valve are being very open with their Source SDK

I've just got past the bit where you follow the preist around, and then dropped down a long well/lift shaft thing where theres loads of them spidery things at the bottom.

well, I've just completed it and it's a fekin great game, really is. 2 big problems tho, the last weapon you pick up is just ridiculously overpowered, you just go through the last level like a walk in the park, 2nd problem, the ending......

but still the best fps ever, bar none.

finshed the game last night. awesome, fantastic, great. are just some of the things I'm feeling!

Not since the 1st halflife has such a game sucked me and made me want to get through it all - to the very climatic end. I just wish there was a device that could wipe my short term memory so I could enjoy the game all over again! (Maybe a baseball bat to the head will work?).

I'm going to go through it again on hard and just sit back and really enjoy the scripted sequences and conversations between characters. I may even put a few cheats in so I can piss about with the game's later weapons earlier on.

It was worth the horrible wait/delay.

There are many questions left unanswered - I hope that we get to see more of the story in future expansion packs released by Valve over steam.

Yeah that's ace that one, if iit's the part i'm thinking of there's a load of crashed cars in the road too where the gunship is (this is just after you run the buggy through the big window near the crane right?) in which case there's a case of inifinate rockets in the white van

Thats one other thing that kinda dissapointed me, you get this sand bug weapon and think, "oh yeah, i'm gonna do some damage here" and that's like the only level you can use it

It starts getting very tough from there onwards anyway, and will probably take you twice as long to get through to the end from where you are than it did to get there

You really need to keep a close eye on those guns, they are very very handy, but you've got to make sure that once one gets knocked down you rush to it and put itback up again, they're proper lifesavers.
