hi m8..if u have the full version of Adobe Acrobat just go to export all images..there are other bits of software that can grab images like SnagIT etc.. if you email me the pdf I'll extract the images for u..pm me if u would like me to help or would like more help

Having spent about 5 months entrenched in Acrobat for the new mag, I can also shed some light. If you don't have access to the full version of Acrobat or something similar, you can still use the Snapshot Tool in Acrobat reader. Zoom in on the picture to the size you want it, select the Snapshot tool and then drag a rectangle around it to capture it to the clipboard.
Pop into a image editing package and paste it as a new image. This is only suitable for grabbing the odd picture, I suppose, and it only grabs at whatever size you view at, not the image's inate resolution.
It will also depend on any security settings that the copyright holder has set on the PDF. Some PDF extraction tools can circumnavigate some of the security, so I've read, but I've not looked into that.
