Im personally disappointed with all that supposed talent that they couldnt come up with a new song after 20 years.

it was absolutely sh1te:nono ..hope it serves it purpose but dont hold out much hope
for the song....the guy who does the rapping in it:coffee: cant remember his name,wtf was all that about...thought it started well then about 20 seconds into it:|
Then tuned into clyde1 and they're playing it too :nono ..but dont think I will be rushing out to order a copy...

I heard it on Radio1 this morning.... personally I think it's crap... what the fook was that rapping shite in the middle, and the piano reminds me of a travis song.

I'm old enough to remember the original and the spirit in which it was recorded. This can never be repeated as all the acts nowadays realise by not singing on this they look like tw@ts.

But being a decent song ain't the issue... If me buying it helps a starving kid to live then I'll buy one for everyone I know.

i've no idea why they need to ask, the new one is apalling, sounds like its been recorded by a bunch of pussies, wimpy backing and who the **** decided to put crap in the middle? i hope that it sinks without trace, if they want to raise money then for gods sake re-release the old version instead.

if anyone wants to give money to the band aid charity then buy the dvd of the original concert and see how it was supposed to be done or simply make a donation.

Christ it's bad! Heard it on Radio 1 this mornin. None of the artists were distinctive enough to make out who's who (says alot about current music!). The rap bit and the ridiculous guitar riff sent a shiver of cringe down my spine!


However, it's for a good cause so we should all buy one regardless.

The problem is the original included legends like Queen and David Bowie. The new one inludes 'in the moment' people. In two years time people won't even remember who the hell half the acts are. From the minute I first heard about it I thought it was a bad idea. As people are saying, if they released a brand new song it wouldn't have been too bad.

i think they should re-release the old one and the new one at the same time and let them both go for the number 1 spot then if you dont like the new one buy the old one and see which gets to the top spot first then all the people can get a song they prefer they get all the money for charity
