Griffin Problem ??

I have just got around to setting up my Griffin Box Gold. I am having problems as it keeps coming up with the "BAD ACTIVATION STATUS" error. I followed this guide to installing the sw that came with it;

How To Install

1, Run Griffin v2[1]0861 Installer
2, Run Griffin Dct-3 Flash File Installer.exe
3, Run Griffin Dct-4 Flash File Installer.exe
4, Run Griffin Dct-4 Flash File Installer 1.exe
5, Run Griffin Dct-4 Flash File Installer 2.exe
6, Run Crusader V2[1].04 this one updates the crusader

This will update the installation to the latest version
then delete the older versions and the none UK version
Your Griffin software is ready for Use.

I have also tried altering the LPT Port in the bios,,, but alas to no avail.

Also on the front of the box there are 3 LED's, the bottom one is flashing blue and the middle one is lit constant but very dim,,, that one is green.

In the manual it just says to alter the LPT Port if any problems occur.

Does anybody have any ideas plz.

YOU MAY NEED TO INSTALL THE PREVIOUS VERSION FIRST.
THEN INSTALL THE UPDATED VERSION ( v2[1]0861 Installer )
AS IT SAYS "THIS WILL UPDATE THE INSTALLATION TO THE LATEST VERSION"

I WILL TRY AND DIG THE PREVIOUS VERSION OUT FOR YOU MATE , I WILL PM YOU IF / WHEN I FIND IT

I have searched everywhere but cannot find an earlier version of the Griffin Installer.

Can anybody help me out on this plz. I am at this present moment wondering how this box would cope under pressure from a very heavy sledgehammer,,, lol.

i think i have a copy mate pm me ur addy - also have u checked on the grifin website just to make sure its not a clone ? 99% will not be, but better to be safe than sorry !!

I have now got the bugger working,,, well to a fashion.

I am still getting "Bad Activation Status" on the c62 code reader v1.022. Also the GRIFFIN CRD 1,09. Everything else seems to load without problems.

But hey you cant have everything in life can ya. :thumbs

Make sure the CRD was inlcuded in the price of the griffin - also does the crusader work ?

Its wierd coz sometimes it works and sometimes it comes up with;

Sharp GX20: BAD ACTIVATION STATUS
SN: ******** (the serial no)
SUPPORTED
Update Ver: 1.15

And other times it just comes up with "BAD ACTIVATION sTATUS"

Btw the sw is GRIFFIN CRD v1.09.

And yes m8,,, the Crusader works.

try a new lpt cable m8, i tried 3 before i got one working perfectly

and the shorter the better

also make sure the voltage running to the box is no greater than 9v

Cheers m8,,, I will try that when I can find somewhere that sells the cable. And I made sure that no more than 9v went to the box.
