Help Removing dead links in Media Player?

Hi. Is there a way to get Media Player (9 in my case) to remove broken links in the library. MusicMatch Jukebox has the option.

I tried powertoys a while ago, but said i had wrong version of mediaplayer??

    Much appreciated

Go to Media player open . Tools . Options. media library ithink you can remove them from there. If you go into privacy down to History clear cd/dvd select. Butt this may clear the lot. Save file history in the player click this it will clear any dvd titles inthe player u want to get shut of. Hope this is of help.

Try using one of the many free registry cleaning tools, WMP and many others store their file history in the registry, and a dead link will get removed as an orphaned registry entry.

If you tell it to search for media again (in the tools menu) it should clear out any invalid links - i think
