Anti-virus + Blockers

Can any one tell me which is the best anti-virus and spyware blocker available and where i could get a cheap package??

You can get a very good FREE Anti Virus package from www.grisoft.com and for spyware I recommend a google for Spybot Search and Destroy or AdAware. There isnt a spyware Blocker per se that will prevent it getting into your system but there are plenty of detection and removal utils

I like NOD32 as my Virus protector and for a firewall use sygate Personal firewall pro. For spyware spybot s&d, adaware se, and Webroot spy sweeper.

I used to use the free version of zonealarm and spybot.

I now use a hardware firewall, only ports open are those i need (idea being if it shouldnt be allowed in, then it wont get in)

software:
firewall...
zonealarm still sits on the machine, as the firewall i have isnt that flexible, supposed to be used with a s/w firewall for max protection.

Antivirus:
NAV 2004/2005 (depending which machine im using), not essestial but if u use p2p etc u need something to scan d/loads etc

Firefox with adblock on.
