Hi, I've just installed xp pro and when I type at, as in an email addy I get " ,what have I done wrong?

you need to chnage your keyboard settings to uk, they may be set to USA settingsi cant remember exactly how to do this but it will be through control panell

some one else may be able to tell u exactly but have a go ur self for now

That's probably the case but can't remember how to change the settings

Start control panel go to keyboard and change language settings simple as that and when installing windows there are options to set this up as you install it but i always forget to do that too.

Just in case you didn't work it out yet, Control Panel > Regional and Language Settings > click the Languages tab > Details... > then add the uk keyboard and set it to default, you can also delete the us keyboard, it will pop up with a message about not being able to remove it till next login, then logout and back in again and you're sorted.
