Cheap trips to London by Coach/Bus

Couldn't see this anywhere else but I just found a website offering return trips to London from major towns and cities for only £2.50. Not sure what the quality of the service is like but you cant go much wrong for that sorta money...

My mate uses them all the time when he comes down from leeds for gigs in london. Not the most pleasant way to travel imho(not a fan of long road trips), but you can't argue with the price

from Liverpool it is £6.50 ea including booking fee for the round trip (how much is the congestion charge...LOL)
now all i need to find is a cheap hotel......... wasn't travel lodge doin £5 cheapies?

national express are now doing a simular thing. and their busses are more comfortable and aren't full of screaming kids!

you can go on busses for 1-3 quid if u book a week or two in advance, the only set back is that most of the time you have to wait at a station or two before yours for 60-70 minutes :/

National Express have funfares available, but they are usually on the times which nobody wants to travel (like 11:00pm departure) which is why they are so cheap.

Megabus have coach/buses. Depends on what coach/bus you get. You can get a coach all the way to London if you are lucky, or you might get transferred to a double decker bus half way through which has coach seats. Comfortable enough. Although National Express is more comfortable.

What can you ask for at only £2.50 return to London (from Sheffield) ?

PS - Megabus have weird bus stops in most cities other than London. They don't stop where National Express ones do.

I used this service yesterday and was a million times better than national express... we had 1 stop and that was for a fag and coffee... Liverpool - London then London - Liverpool cost me £6.50 coz I booked late... but we didnt stop at every ba5tard station between here anf London... FULL MARKS!!!!!

i've seen the megabus on the m40 and there's usually only about 10 people on it. only on bank hoildays etc it's rammed.

its worth it if 1 person is travelling but cheaper to go by car if there were 5 people
