Cheap Anti Virus software & which one is best

AFter my computer has had alot of viruses on it causing alot of problems, thanks to my mate for sortin it, i would like your help for any sources of cheap anti viruses software and which is the best one in your opion.

First I suggest that you install a firewall if you do not have one and if you are not using a router.

Then try AVG Antivirus - its free and works well.

But you will also need to install anti-spyware/trojan software.

Have a look at ESET NOD32. It's a fast antivirus programmer written in assembly. It has a small memory footprint and does not make your machine crawl like norton antivirus does. I've been using it for the last few weeks and am well impressed.

I am using AVG on one of my machines for sometime its good value for money but still misses some. You would have to do some online scanning at trend or mcafee or norton weekly just to be sure.

Also use firefox or opera instead of IE .

Also a good addition would be spybot search and destroy.

I use adaware and spybot plus do pestpatrol onlinen scans weekly. min. cause none of these are flawless.

Also try and use a good hosts file to block sites that might play dirty.

all of this is easily available on google though .

personally outpost and sygate both are good . tried both .

and ya bitdefenders a good choice too .

I have been using AVG for around three yrs now for anti virus, and Sygate personal firewall.

As already mentioned,both are free for personal use and are updated free as well, and they have been very good so would definately recommend.
I also use adaware and spybot search and destroy, so big:thumbs
