Delivery is NOT £20, it's £5.96 for guaranteed next day delivery!!!!!!!!

I think you must have looked at the total for 4 packs with delivery and VAT because the total for that is £20.96!!

Nice post, I have used a few hundred of the red tops on my Pioneer 105 with no problems.

    Hi
Nice price the problems with reds are well documented all over the net, the one that cocerns me most is they will record fine but say six months down they line they become hard to read and in some cases become unreable. This is not just my theory as i say its well documented but this has happen to some fairly important backups of mine.

Some of mine are over 12 months old and play fine still, maybe there are varying batch quality issues.

I bought some datawrite red v2, and they were all coasters in the end. Dunno if the v3 are any better. Just my experience, your mileage may vary of course

Burnt 500+ in Pioneer 105's and 106's. No particular problems with either V2 or V3. Did 70 for a client as a promo video, and he's not brought one back.

I guess a lot of problems are the writers and what they like. Had a batch of Samsung 8x Dual format drives a few weeks back - some hated them, some liked them. Seemed to be two different drives.

Datawrite red's that I've used for yonks seem to have become increasingly poor.

Stick with the datawrite grey 8x they work a treat and I've only have one coaster so far but that was because the drive died (pioneer 108). NEC3500 seems to like em 2 which is good news.

Burnt 50 so far no probs
