Hello
Does anybody known a way to tell how much juice your computer is using from windows. I have quite a few fans and have just brought a new graphics card and I want to be sure my power supply has enough spare.
Thanks for your help

What rating is your current one?
What gfx card you just got?
How much hardware is there "in the box"?
You can use the link below for an online power usage calculator
http://www.jscustompcs.com/power_supply/
The results are only rough but it should give you an idea
A PC P4 2.8Ghz uses 300mA fully powered on and 5mA in full power down mode, 17" monitor a new crt model 100mA fully powered and 3mA in standby mode.
power is normaly V*I .3a x 240= 72watts
ball park for a normal PC some pc's have lot more in them but 500mA
would be 120watt you could say same as 100 watt light.
cheers
